Itinerary
South India boasts some of the most exquisite temples in the country. These sacred sites are not only of religious importance but also serve as remarkable examples of art and architecture, contributing to the preservation of Indian cultural heritage. To embark on a journey to explore these temples, please refer to the South India spiritual tour package itinerary provided by Tripgoindia.

Day 1: Tirupathi
Upon your arrival in Tirupathi via train or air, your pilgrimage tour will commence. Our tour manager will assist you with the hotel check-in process. Take some time to unwind at the hotel. In the evening, you may opt for a sightseeing tour of Tirupathi.

Overnight accommodation will be at a hotel in Tirupathi.

Day 2: Tirupathi – Bangalore
Following breakfast, prepare for a visit to the Sri Venkateshwara Swami Temple and the Padmavati Ammavari Temple located in Tiruchanur. The temple dedicated to Lord Srinivasa is situated atop the seven hills at Tirumala, while the temple for Goddess Padmavathi is in Tirupati. It is traditionally believed that devotees should first visit Tirupati before seeking blessings from her consort, Lord Balaji.

After your visit and lunch, proceed to Bangalore to continue your South India spiritual tour package. The journey will take approximately 6 hours by train and around 4.5 hours by road. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring the surrounding area.

You will spend the night in Bangalore.

Day 3: Bangalore – Mysore
Following a fulfilling South Indian breakfast, embark on a city tour. Bangalore, also known as Bengaluru, serves as the capital of Karnataka. Established approximately 500 years ago by Kempe Gowda I, a Governor during the Vijayanagara Empire, the city has evolved significantly. The historical districts encompass areas such as Ulsoor, Malleshwaram, Basavanagudi, and Shivajinagar, which have contributed to the city’s expansion over the years.

During your visit, you will explore notable sites including Cubbon Park, Tippu Sultan’s Summer Palace, Mayo Hall, Attara Katcheri, Bangalore Palace, and the renowned Bull Temple located in Basavanagudi.

Subsequently, check out of your hotel and proceed to Mysore for an overnight stay. The journey will take approximately 2.5 hours by road.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel to enjoy a night in the city known for its sandalwood.

Day 4: Mysore – Ooty
Mysore, the second-largest city in the Bangalore metropolitan area, was established in 1399 by the brothers Yaduraya and Krishnaraya. The city’s name is derived from the demon Mahishashura, who is said to have once ruled the region and was ultimately vanquished by Goddess Chamundeshwari.

Following breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Mysore City. The itinerary includes visits to Mysore Palace, Chamundeshwari Temple, Somnathapura Temple, Jagmohan Palace and Art Gallery, Lalitha Mahal, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, and Brindavan Gardens.

Subsequently, check out of your hotel and proceed to Ooty, a journey that will take approximately 3.5 hours by road. Upon arrival, check into a luxury hotel for an overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 5: Ooty
Ooty, also known as Uthagamandalam, is situated in the Western Ghats and is often referred to as the Queen of Hills. The town is renowned for its charming toy trains, breathtaking mountain vistas, serene lakes, lush gardens, and diverse wildlife.

After breakfast, you will visit several of Ooty’s premier attractions, including the Botanical Gardens, Rose Garden, Doddabetta, Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, Pykara Falls, Avalanche Lake, and a Tea Factory.

Enjoy another night in Ooty.

Day 6: Ooty to Madurai
After a fulfilling breakfast, set off for Madurai to commence your temple tour. The journey will take around 7 hours, with a stop at Dolphin’s Nose in Coonoor along the way.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to refresh. In the evening, visit the renowned Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple.

After your visit, explore the shopping stalls surrounding the temple before returning to your accommodation. Spend the night at a luxury hotel in Madurai.

Day 7: Madurai
Following a buffet breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of the Temple City. Your visits will include the Gandhi Museum, Tirumalai Nayakar Palace, Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam, Rajaji Park, and Alagarkoil.

After enjoying some shopping and tasting Madurai’s famous street food, retire for the night at a luxury hotel in Madurai.

Day 8: Rameswaram
Following breakfast, proceed to Rameswaram for a pilgrimage to the Ramanathaswamy Temple. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to unwind. In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Rameswaram, where you will explore the Pamban Bridge, the various Agraharams surrounding the temple, Dhanushkodi, and the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Memorial.

Overnight stay in Rameswaram.

Day 9: Rameswaram – Kanyakumari
After breakfast, travel to Kanyakumari, marking the final segment of your South India spiritual tour package. The journey will take approximately 5.5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day visiting local attractions. You will see the Gandhi Memorial, the Thiruvalluvar Statue, and enjoy the sunset.

Day 10: Departure
On this day, witness the enchanting sunrise and partake in the darshan at the Bhagavathiamman Temple. Additionally, you will visit Suchindrum Temple, Thiruvattar Adi Kesava Perumal Temple, and the Padmanabhapuram Palace.

After checking out of the hotel, proceed to Coimbatore, concluding your South India spiritual tour package.
